As the term suggests, keyless locks do not require the use of a key in order to unlock. These types of locks are not just used in commercial settings but at home as well. Locksmiths can install or repair any of these types of locks. There is no need to worry about lost office keys or lost house keys with these systems.
Combination Locks
A specific number combination needs to be entered in order to open the lock. There are some that also allow a combination of numbers and letters, which is more secured. As long as you do not forget the right combination, you should not have any problems opening the lock. This provides better security than standard locks because as long as you use a combination that is hard to guess, it would be difficult for a burglar to gain access to your property.
Password Locks
These types of locks are similar to combination locks. You also need to enter the right combination of letters and numbers or your password to unlock. However, a password lock can hold more characters than a combination lock. If you want your security combination to be longer, this one is a better choice.
Remote Controlled Locks
These types of locks can be used to lock and unlock doors with the use of a remote control. Instead of a key, you just need to push a button on your remote and you can have the door opened or closed from a distance. Sometimes, these types of locks are also used with password locks. In case you misplaced the remote control or it is not working for some reason, you can still have your doors locked or unlocked by entering the password on the keypad.
Fingerprint Scanner
This is commonly used on companies with several employees. Instead of swiping cards to enter the property, they need to have their fingerprint scanned on the reader. This provides the best security since each individual has a unique fingerprint so unauthorized people cannot gain access in the area. However, system lock installation or system lock fix can be expensive.
